In August of 2024, two passionate coffee enthusiasts (we promise, not snobs) crossed paths in a coffee shop in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Grant walked in, ordered a cold brew from Noel, and almost instantaneously, a sweet friendship was born. What started as a shared appreciation for thermal shock-processing, unique pour-overs, and beautifully curated European coffee Instagrams (among other nerdy coffee things) soon bloomed into a bigger dream of creating something truly special.

That dream? A premium espresso cart, inspired by a shared faith in Jesus and a passion for serving others. Oh yeah, and the red oak, plywood, and casters that brought it all to life!

The two spent hours talking about the art of brewing delicious pour-overs, the process of a perfectly pulled shot, and how coffee could be more than just a drink—it could be an experience. Over time, their dream grew: a company that would provide more than just a cup of coffee, but a sense of care, hospitality, and connection that would leave a lasting impact.

And so, Proi was born. Proi means “morning” in Greek, which is often when Noel and Grant were hanging out sipping incredible coffees. At Proi, we believe in unreasonable hospitality. We want your event to be served up with the highest level of care that goes above and beyond. We’re not here to be the center of attention; in fact, we’re here to be in your corner, quietly, humbly, and efficiently making your gathering unforgettable for your guests.
